Weed Weapon Long Term in Action
Ready to Use: 7.5 g/L Terbuthylazine, 3.5 g/L Glyphosate and 0.036 g/L Saflufenacil
Concentrate: 300 g/L Terbuthylazine, 141 g/L Glyphosate and 1.43 g/L Saflufenacil.
Weed Weapon Long Term contains two post-emergent active ingredients of different types. These actives, glyphosate and saflufenacil, work together in what is called a synergistic way; improving the efficacy of both when used together.
The use of two active ingredients also means that it will control weeds that might be resistant or tolerant of glyphosate alone, and it greatly reduces the risk of development of resistance in weeds.
Resistance to herbicides through overuse of the same single active ingredient is a concern for farmers, horticulturalists and gardeners. It is good practice to use products that combine actives of different types to prevent resistance developing.
Weed Weapon Long Term contains a third active which is a pre-emergent and prevents new weeds emerging for an extended period.

Use around trees & Shrubs: Avoid application or runoff onto to roots and root zones. Weed Weapon Long Term is active in the soil over a long period of time and may stunt the growth or even kill mature trees and shrubs if it is applied to soil where their roots have a strong presence. A general rule of thumb for trees and shrubs (assuming they haven't been pruned) is that their root system extends underground about as far as their leaves and branches extend above ground i.e. the radius of the roots is about the same as the radius of the leaves/branches. So, for example a skinny cabbage tree has a narrower, deeper root system, while an Oak tree that has large branch networks, has an equally wide root system that helps to anchor it safely to the ground. When applying Weed Weapon Long Term it's best work out where you leave think the leaves and root system end and then leave an additional safe zone of least 0.5m on top of that in case the roots extend slightly further underground. If the plant has been pruned we recommend extending out this safe zone to extend out past the previous size of the shrub or tree.
